Background of the Study
The rise of e-commerce platforms has led to an increase in online fraud, posing significant threats to businesses and consumers. Cybersecurity analytics employs advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data visualization to identify and mitigate cyber threats in real time (Chen et al., 2023). These tools enable e-commerce platforms to detect anomalies, predict potential fraud, and safeguard customer data.
In Zamfara State, the growing adoption of e-commerce platforms presents new opportunities for economic growth. However, the prevalence of online fraud threatens consumer trust and the sustainability of these businesses. This study appraises the role of cybersecurity analytics in preventing online fraud on e-commerce platforms in Zamfara State.
